·         Did you know half of all Canadian women over 16 years of age have experienced at least one incident of physical or sexual assault?  December 6th we wear white to condemn all violence against women.


·         The class currently in the lead for We Create Change is Mr Zawada’s class, followed closely by Mr Perera’s class and 44 cents behind them is Mrs Richardson’s class.  Don’t forget to bring your classes’  bag down to the office after class to be included in the counts.  Please continue to support Free the Children’s efforts in building a well in India.


·         Yesterday the varsity boys hockey team traveled to Milton to take on the Mustangs.  The boys came out fast and took the game over and went on to win the game quite easily 4-1.  Scoring for the Devils was Stephen Kemp, Liam Kealey, Jake Howden and Jack Creighton with the open net goal.  The teams next action is Thursday when they travel to Toronto to participate in the 37th Annual Brother Arthur Tournament.


·         This is a reminder that there is an Animal Rights Club meeting today after school in room 198.


·         Hey Basketball fans and players:  Just a quick reminder that the basketball courts at Maple Grove Public School are off limits during the school day.  Please stick to the half courts behind our school.


·         Tomorrow after school our Sr boys basketball team has their home opener against Milton District.  Come out to support the boys at 3:30 in the gym.


·         Congratulations to the Junior boys basketball team for their come from behind win 45-39 against Abbey Park last Thursday.  Come and support the boys today at 4:30 in the gym when they take on Milton.


·         The Awareness and Promotion Committees for Relay for Life will be meeting tomorrow at 7:45 before school in their normal meeting locations.  If  you are on one of these committees don’t forget to attend the meeting.


·         Have some exciting business ideas?  If you do come sign up to be a vendor at the Entrepreneurs Expo.  There will be booths in the atrium during lunch periods and an information session today after school in room 237.
