·         Registered PSAT test takers;   please check your school email for important information regarding the PSAT test in October.

 

·         The Cross Country team participated in the Bagpipes Classic at Erindale Park in Mississauga yesterday and fared very well against students in Peel & Toronto school boards.  Congrats to all runners who participated but special mention to Natalie Robinson as top runner for OT.

 

·         Do you want to spend a month living and learning at a University campus such as UBC, UNB and the University of Waterloo next summer?  Do you want to explore STEM & Entrepreneurship through hands on, experiential learning?  Then you should come check out the SHAD summer enrichment program.  Learn how you can explore Canada, gain leadership skills and meet like-minded leaders from across the country at  the SHAD Info Session taking place after school on Friday September 27th in the cafeteria.  Session is open to those in grades 10 and 11.

 

·         Yesterday your senior boys volleyball team followed up their silver medal performance at McMaster with a dominant win over Abbey Park to open the regular season.  Player of the game goes to Payton Travers.

 

·         All Model UN members are reminded that today is the first day of the first simulation of this year.  See you all after school in room 102.

 

·         Reminder there is an ECO-Council meeting tomorrow in room 223 at 7:45 am.  New members welcome.

 

·         Are you looking for volunteer hours?  James W Hill is looking for volunteers for their Fall Fair. October 19th from 9-3.  If you are interested there is a sign -up sheet in the main office.

 

·         Do you know the Ontario University Fair is this weekend at the Metro Convention Center?  All Ontario Universities will be in attendance.  Come meet faculty and student reps and get all of your questions answered.  If you are in grade 12 check the guidance Facebook group for grads for a tip sheet on question to ask at the fair in order to get the most of  your visit.
