New Student Registration

All registrations are currently being done online.

Families must live in our catchment area. To check school boundaries and locations, please visit the Halton District School Board website at www.hdsb.ca and look here.

If you are new to our area or to The Halton District School Board and would like to register your child for school, please complete the Where Do I Register My Child? online tool before you proceed.

If the tool confirms you are to register directly with Oakville Trafalgar High School please follow the steps below.

Step 1 - Identify your child's home school. Refer to information at Find My Local School”

Step 2 - Complete online HDSB Registration form and email them to OTHS Registrations (otreg@hdsb.ca) with all required documents listed below.

These documents include:

  • Proof of address (any two of the following documents): lease or deed, car registration, utility bill, residential telephone bill, moving bill, property tax bill, bank statement, credit card statement, correspondence with a government agency Note: A driver’s license will not be accepted as documentation for “proof of address”.

Step 3 - Course Selection:

Once a completed registration package has been received and reviewed by Oakville Trafalgar High School, the grade 8 student's family will be contacted by an OTHS Guidance Counsellor to complete course selections for Grade 9.

To prepare for this conversation, we ask that the student with their family review the Grade 8 Family Toolkit with particular attention to the Compulsory Courses (Tool #1) and Elective Courses (Tool #4) as well as the Grade 9 Course Catalogue Document.

We will process completed registration packages only. A guidance counsellor will contact families for course selection conversations after registation paperwork has been processed.
