New Student Registration
Step 1 - Determine if you need Register your student(s) directly with Oakville Trafalgar High School or through HDSB Welcome Centre.
Use the Where Do I Register Tool to guide you to where to begin your registration process - your home school OR at the Welcome Centre. The Where Do I Register Tool will help you navigate the registration process for your child within the HDSB. Please respond to these questions for each child you wish to register separately.
If tool above directs you to register directly with you home school continue to step 2.

Step 2 - Identify your child's home school by using the Find My Local School Tool. If you need assistance determining your home school, please contact email@example.com.
Step 3- Pre-register Online
You can now begin the online pre-registration process for new HDSB students who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents residing in Halton.
Visit the HDSB Online Student Pre-registration portal and "request a new account" to begin the process.
Once you have submitted the online form, you will receive a confirmation email indicating you’ve successfully completed pre-registration.
After completing the Online Registration, please wait for a call or an email from the school to proceed with the registration. Please allow 5-10 business days before contacting the school. At your appointment, please bring the required documents.
The following documents are required to complete registration at your appointment.
Proof of child’s age: birth certificate or passport or baptismal/faith record for your child
Proof of address (any two of the following documents): lease or deed, car registration, utility bill, residential telephone bill, moving bill, property tax bill, bank statement, credit card statement, correspondence with a government agency. Important Note: A driver’s license will not be accepted as documentation for “proof of address”.
Proof of child’s citizenship: birth certificate or passport, Record of Landing (IMM 1000)or Permanent Resident Card
Proof of custody: if you are not the parent and your child is under 18 you must provide proof of custody (court order) MANDATORY
Most recent report card for students going into Grade 9 and a Transcript and Credit Counselling Summary for Grade 9 – 12
A copy of the student's IEP (Individual Education Plan) if applicable
Step 3 - Course Selection meeting
Once a completed registration package has been received and reviewed by Oakville Trafalgar High School student's family will be contacted by an OTHS Guidance Counsellor to complete course selections.

Please note: the online registration link does not function properly on mobile devices (phone or tablet). Please use a desktop computer or laptop (including a Chromebook).
We will process completed registration packages only. A guidance counsellor will contact families for course selection conversations after registration paperwork has been processed.
